Agur... o hasta pronto!

EBZ esperientzia amaitzen ari da, hau da ekintzen azken astea eta uztaila gogoetarako astea izango da guretzako, ikasi dugunaren inguruko gogoeta, erreportaje bat idaztea eta eguraldi onaz disfrutatzea, Jorgek beti esaten digun bezala!!

Eskerrak eman nahi dizkiegu lehenengo gure koordinatzaileari, Dato-ri ikuskatzaileari, Ainhoa, Alvaro eta Jesus-i, gure tutoreei (Irene, Idoia, Eneritz eta Ainhoa), Eider-ri blog hau euskarara itzultzeagatik eta bere alaitasunagatik, Elena-ri bere pazientziagatik eta gure bizitza donostiarrean sartu eta gure bihotzetan geratuko diren pertsona guzti horiei.

Lan egin dugun elkarteei eskerrak, +55, Goienetxe, Jone “Todos creamos Donostia” proiektuarekin eta ilusio eta gogoarekin hartu gaituzten beste guztiei.

The EVS experience is running out, this is the last week of activities and July is a month of reflection for us, reflection on our learning, writing a report and enjoy the good weather, as Jorge always tells us!!

We would like to thank him first, our coordinator, Dato, the supervisor, Ainhoa, Alvaro and Jesus, our mentors (Irene, Idoia, Eneriz and Ainhoa), Eider for the translations in Basque in this blog and for her joyfulness, Elena for her patience and all those people who entered in our Donostiarra life and will remain in our hearts.

EVA

Hilabete guzti hauetan jende politarekin aurkitu naiz, lagun berriak egin ditut eta beraiengandik asko ikasi dut. Herrialde eta kultura ezberdinak ere deskubritu ditut. “Euskal Herria” eta Espainia hegoaldea ezagutu ditut. Ez dut mutil euskaldunik aurkitu baina bai nire buruan eta bihotzean beti edukiko dudan jendea.

So all these months I met beautiful people, I made new friends and I learned a lot from them. I also learned about different countries and cultures. I discover "País Vasco" and the South of Spain. I didn't find a Bask boy but I found people who I will always have in my mind and my heart!!!

ARTO

Donostian egon naizen bitartean kultura eta pertsona ezberdinen inguruan ikasteko aukera izan dut. Orain ziur dakit pertsonen arteko berdintasunak gehiago direla ezberdintasunak baino. Bizitzan zehar lagunak aurkitu ditut eta beti eramango ditut bihotzean konpartitu ditugun momentuak. Agur!

Agur!

During my stay I had a chance to learn about other cultures and people. Now I am even further convinced that similarities among people are always greater than the differences. I made friends for life and our shared memories will be with me forever. Agur!

VICENTE

Momentu arte Donostian bizitako esperientzia laburtzea zaila da. Proiektua espero justu espero nuena izan ez arren, eta antolaketan tranpa batzuk edukita, esan beharra daukat Holandatik etorri nintzela nire bizitzako momentu ez hain on batean, eta EBZ programak zailtasun hau gainditzen lagundu didala. Hiritar sinpatikoek, toki ederrek eta janari gozoak nire erosotasunean lagundu du, lan ezberdinek denboraren hein handi batean okupatuta mantendu nauten bitartean. Orain Ingalaterrara joateko prest nago, Masterra ikasi, eta Donostian ikasi eta garatutako trebetasun ederrak erabiltzeko.

It is difficult to sum up my experience in San Sebastian so far. Although the project was not exactly what I expected, and there were a few pitfalls in terms of organization, I must confess that I came here from Holland at a low in my life, and that my EVS program has helped me overcome this slump. The warm people, the gorgeous places and the delicious food helped with my comfort, whilst the wide variety of work kept me engaged most of the time. I am now ready to go to England, study for my masters, and apply all the wonderful skills that I have learned and developed here in San Sebastian.

LUCIE

Hola, nire proiektuan zehar nire inguruko pertsonek duten garrantziaz konturatu naiz. Proiektua nire egin duten pertsona interesgarriak ezagutu ditut. Diru gutxirekin nola bizi eta zoriontsu izaten ikasi dut. Espainia ez dela flamenkoa eta sangria bakarrik deskubritu dut, baizik eta oso herrialde ezberdina eta historia interesgarri askorekin. Errezeta berri asko dastatu ditut eta Espainiako kulturaren inguruan gehiago ikasi dut. Proiektu honek nire begiak guztiz ireki ditu.

Hola, during the project I realized how people are important around me. I met interesting persons and it made this project. I learned how to live with a small amount of money and be happy. I discovered that Spain is not just flamenco and sangria but it is a beautiful country with many different parts and interesting history. I tried lots of new recipes and learned about Spanish culture. This project totally opened my eyes.

GIUDITA

Nire begiak marroi geratu dira, nire adina, altuera eta pisua ez dira aldatu, Bueno pisua agian bai. “Esentziala begientzako ikusezina da”, Antoinek zioen bezala… hausnartzen, gehiago ezagutzen, nire begiekin deskubritzen, gehiago elkarbanatzen, barneratzen eta aukeratzen ikasi dut, baietz eta ezetz esaten eta saiatzen! Eskerrik asko!

Eskerrik asko!

My eyes are still brown, my age, height and weight have not changed, well maybe the weight a bit. "What is essential is invisible to the eye," as Antoine said... I’ve learned to reflect, to learn more, to discover with thousand eyes, to share more, to internalize and to choose, to say yes and always try! Eskerrik asko!

SOPHIE

Ezagutu dudan pertsonekin deskantsatuta eta inspiratuta, olatu euskaldunei agurtzeko eta abentura berri bat hasteko prest nago.

Rested and inspired by beautiful people i met i am ready to kiss the basque waves goodbye and start a new adventure!

LISA

Pertsona erabakiorragoa eta nire erabakietan autentikoagoa bihurtu naiz. Bista luzeko amodio bat irabazi dut, nireganako amodioa dena. Lasaiago, agian helduagoa. Nire bizitzan niretzat nahi ez dudana indartzen eta gehiago estresatu gabe.

I've become a more decisive person and more authentic in decision-making. I gained a long-term love. Which is the love for my Self. I've become relaxed, maybe more mature. Reinforcing what I do not want for me in life, without feeling stressed about that anymore.

LINDA

Zer egin dudan EBZ-n? Zintzoa banaiz… ez dakit. Baina dudik Gabe ulertzen eta deskubritzen hasteko hasiera ona da. Pozik nago erabaki honekin.

Who I became during my EVS? I can be honest - I don't know. But definitely it's a good beginning to start to understand, to start to find out. I'm happy about this choice.

Daily life de un SVE

Heh, Donostiako eguneroko bizitza zure hiriarekiko ezberdina da. Diru kantitate txikiago batekin bizi behar duzu toki garestiago batean. Niretzat hasieran erronka bat izan zen:  nire egunerokotasuneko ohiturak aldatu behar nituen. Uste dut ahaztu dudala zer den taxi bat eta zein forma duen. Baina ama lurrean gehiago pentsatzen ari naiz eta baita gure gorputzetan ere. Taxia baina hobea den zerbait erabiltzen ari gara: bizikleta. Ez da garrantzitsua berria edo zaharra, polita edo ez, garrantzitsuena funtzionatzea da eta Donostiako toki ikaragarrienetara eramatea, eta baita Donostiatik kanpora ere.

Gutako batzuei gehiago gustatzen zaie adrenalina eta bizitza aktiboa, eta honenbestez Donostia toki ona da patinetearekin dituzun trebetasunekin praktikatzeko.

Seguruenik neska bakoitzak bere soinekoak lagunekin trukatu ditu edo gehien behar duen jendeari eman dizkio. Honenbestez orain jantzi horiei bizitza berri bat ematen ari zaien pertsona horien artean gaude. Gauza hauek lortzeko tokiak non eta nola aurkitu ikasi dugu, modu merke batean edo doan.

Donostiako jendea oso eskuzabala da altzariekin ere. Gauza argia da bizitzeko behar genituen gauza guztiak bagenituela, baina gure etxea abegitsuagoa eta erosoagoa egiteko jendeak kalean uzten dituen gauzak berrerabiltzen ditugu.

Orain gure balkoiak aulki zoragarria dauka eta goizeko kafearentzat mahaia. Eta aulki gehigarriak beti dira erabilgarriak, inoiz ez baitakizu zenbat pertsona etorri daitezkeen eta jende guztia eroso sentitu dadin nahi dugu.

Hori bai, hau gure proiektuaren barneko bizitzaren zati bat da. Eta norbaitek oraindik galdera hau badu – Posible da boluntario diruarekin bizitzea? – nire erantzuna baiezkoa da, sormena erabili behar duzu eta dena da posible.

Linda

Linda

Huh, daily life in San Sebastian is different than back at home. You need to live with less money in a more expensive place. For me at first it was a challenge, I needed to change my daily habits. I think I have already forgotten what is a taxi and how does it look like. But we are thinking about our mother earth and our bodies, we are using a better thing than a taxi – a bike. It doesn’t matter if it is new or old, beautiful or not, the most important thing is that it works, and takes you to the most incredible places in San Sebastian and even outside of San Sebastian.

But some of us like little bit more adrenalin and active life, so San Sebastian is a good place where to start to practice your skills with long board.

Probably every girl has made cloth exchange with her friends or gave to places where people need them more than you. So we are one of those people who are giving a second breath to them. We have learned where and how to find a places to get these things for free, or at least for a smaller price.  And you will not buy things what you do not need, or at last your heart is not resisting for it.

San Sebastian people are really generous also with furniture. Of course we had all things what we need for living, but to make cosier, and more comfortable we recycle things what people are leaving on the streets.

Now our balcony has wonderful chair and table for morning coffees. And extra chairs are always useful, because you never know how many guests can come over and we want that everyone is feeling comfortable.

Now this is one part of our life in a project. And if someone still have this question – is it possible to survive with money what gets a volunteer, then my answer is yes, you just need to be more creative, and then everything is possible.

Linda

Evaluación en Malaga

Ekainaren 1etik 5era, Espainiako toki ezberdinetako EBZ boluntarioak elkartu ziren beraien orain arteko boluntario esperientzia ebaluatzeko. Boluntarioen gehiengoa beraien proiektuaren erdialdean aurkitzen zen, honenbestez orain arte pasatakoari buruz pentsatzeko aukera egon zen, eta baita geratzen diren hilabeteak ahal den politenak izan daitezen aldatzea gustatuko zitzaienaren inguruan ere.

Ekintzetako parte hartzaile guztiak koloreka banatu ziren, ezagutzen ez ziren boluntarioen arteko kontaktua handitzeko. Tarteko Ebaluazioko ekintzetan denetik sartzen da, jardueretatik debate serioenetara, eta baita gure hausnarketa bultzatuko duten margolaritza ekintzak ere. Seminarioaren amaieran galdera mordoa erantzun ziren, eta honek bertako boluntario bakoitza bere proiektu propioarekin hobeto sentitzera eraman zuen.

From the 1st of June to the 5th of the same month, EVS volunteers from all across Spain met to evaluate how their volunteering experience is going so far. While dates differed for each volunteer, most of the volunteers were halfway through their project and so had the opportunities both to reflect on what had transpired so far as well as what they would like to change so that their remaining months would be as enjoyable as possible.

All the participants of the activities were divided in to colours, to increase the contact between volunteers who had never met. The activities at the Mid-Term Evaluation included everything from drawing activities to more serious debate, as well as activities designed to help with our reflection. By the end of the seminar, much thinking had been done and a lot of questions had been answered, leading all the volunteers present to feel slightly more comfortable in their own project.

Proyectos Personales

Gure EBZ proiektuaren barruan, gutako bakoitzak proiektu pertsonal bat sortzeko aukera du. Honek gustuko dugun eta hiriarentzako nahiz hiritarrentzako egin nahi dugun ekintza bat sortzea esan nahi du, ekintza hau garatzeko tokia eta baliabideak guk geuk bilatuz.

Within our EVS Project, each one of us has the possibility to create a personal project. This means creating an activity that we like and want to develop and making it available for the city and the citizens, finding the place and the facilities for our activity by ourselves.

Eva & Giudita

Eva eta nik, literaturaren, liburuen eta filosofiaren maitaleak, sormena eta idazketaren inguruan lan egitea erabaki dugu. Idazketa sortzailearen inguruko tailer bat egiten ari gara, non pertsonen sormena idazketaren bidez estimulatzeko espazio bat sortu nahi dugun. Medio ezberdinak eta kultura anitzeko espazio bat erabiliko ditugu, non pertsona bakoitza nahi duen hizkuntzan eta erosoen egiten zaion moduan espresatuko den. Jada hasi gara egiten eta parte hartzaile interesatuak eta aktiboak izan ditugu. Aurkitu dugun tokia Donostiaren erdialdean dago, “El Subespacio” izenekoa. Gazte sortzaile batzuek orain dela gutxi hasi dute beraien ekintza bertan eta gure erabilerarako gela bat utzi digute eta promozioan ere laguntzen gaituzte.

Eva and I, lovers of literature, books and philosophy wanted to work with our imagination through writing. We decided to do a workshop of creative writing in which we want to make space to stimulate the imagination of people through writing. We are using different methods and creating a multicultural space in which everyone can express himself in the language and in the way that feels most comfortable to them. We already began and had very interested and active participants. The place we found, El Subespacio, is right in the centre of San Sebastian. It is a space where a group of creative young people recently started organizing activities and they also help us to promote our event.

Sophie, Giudita, Eider & Irene

Kaebnai-k proiektu pertsonal modura gazte elkartruke bat idazteko ideia eman zigun. Elkartrukeek herrialde ezberdinetako gazte taldeei (13 urtetik 30 urtera) elkartzeko eta guztiek batera 21 egun maximo bezala duen esperientzia bat bizitzeko aukera ematen die, non parte hartzaileek gai bat landuko duten tailer, ekintza, debate, rol jolasak, etab.en laguntzaz. Giuditak eta nik, Kaebnai-ko bi boluntarioekin batera (Eider eta Irene), data limite bezala apirilaren 30a zuen proiektu bat entregatu genuen.

“Wake up! Theatre for a colourful Europe” da elkartrukearen izena eta 3 herrialdeak hartzen ditu, Espainia, Italia eta Belgika. Gazteei arrazismo eta xenofobiaren inguruan hitz egiteko eta jokatzeko espazioa eman nahi die, zapalduaren antzerkiaren bidez interkulturalitatea onartuz eta ospatuz, Augusto Boal Brasildarra sortzaile duen antzerki parte hartzailea, ikusleak sartzen dituena eta helburu bezala aldaketa soziala duena. Antzerki jolasen eta ekintzen, kaleko elkarrizketen eta atzerritarren testimonioen bidez, amaierako ikuskizun bat sortuko dugu guztiok batera, Donostiako kaleetan egingo dena. Orain behatzak gurutzatzen ditugu proiektua gainditua izan dadin!

Sophie

“Wake up!

Sophie

Kaebnai also gave us the idea to write a Youth Exchange as a personal project. Youth exchanges allow groups of young people (aged 13 to 30) from different countries to meet and live together for up to 21 days, during which the participants work together on a chosen topic, through a mix of workshops, exercises, debates, role-plays, etc. Giudita and I got together with two local Kaebnai volunteers and handed in a project for the 30th of April deadline.

"Wake up! Theatre for a colourful Europe" is a youth exchange including Spanish, Italian and Belgian youth and aims to give space to young people to discuss and act against racism and xenophobia by accepting and celebrating multiculturalism through theatre of the oppressed, a participative theatre pioneered by the Brazilian Augusto Boal which involves the spectators and aims at social change. Through theatrical games and exercises, interviews on the streets and testimonies of immigrants we will create a final performance that we will act out in the streets of San Sebastian. Now fingers crossed that the project will be approved!

Sophie

Lucie

Nire proiektu pertsonalean asko pentsatu dut eta azkenean nire pasioa den zerbaitean pentsatu dut. Argazki erakusketa bat egitea gustatuko litzaidake. Historia duten argazkiak. Argazkiak, Donostian bizi diren atzerritarrek eginak izatea da ideia. Argazkiak hiriarenak, naturarenak edo Donostiako pertsonenak izan daitezke. Argazki bakoitza kultura ezberdinetako pertsonek Donostia eta hiritarrak nola ikusten dituzten adierazteko eredu izango da. Proiektu honekin, atzerritarrek bertako gizartean duten inklusio sozialaren arazoa seinalatzea da nire helburua.

I was thinking a lot about my personal project and I got an idea. I would like to make a photo exhibition. Exhibition of photos with stories. The idea is that pictures will be taken by foreigners living in San Sebastián. Pictures can be of city, nature or people of Donostia. Every photo will show to locals how person from different culture can see the San Sebastián or people in the city. By this project I would like to point out a problem which concerns social inclusion of foreigners into majority society.

Arto

Jendeari arte martzial ezberdinak aurkeztu nahi dizkiot kirol inguru baten bidez.

Arte martzial tradizionalek errespetua, oreka eta diziplina edukitzen duten bitartean, borroka kirolek estigma txarra izaten dute beraiekin. Merezi gabekoa dela uste dut eta antzekotasunak erakutsiko ditut. Azkenean, gorputza mugitzeko modu egokia aurkitzean datza. Arte martzialak mundu guztian praktikatu daitezke adin edo kondizio fisikoaren mendeko izan gabe.

Tailerrak seminario modukoak izango dira. Hiru bilera izango ditugu astero, non konbateko distantzia ezberdinen inguruan ikasiko dugun eta arte martzialen teknika ezberdin mordoa probatuko ditugun.

I want to introduce people to different martial arts through a sportive atmosphere. While traditional martial arts usually have an identity of respect, balance and discipline, combat sports sometimes have a bad stigma attached to them. I believe it is undeserved and will show how they are very similar and in the end it is just about finding most effective way moving your body. Martial arts can be practiced by everybody not dependent on age or physical conditioning.

Workshops will be be in a form of seminars. Every week we will have three meetings where we learn about different distances of fighting and try out many techniques from different martial arts.

Dantza Inklusiboaren Tailerra

Mugarik gabe dantzatu! Oztoporik gabe dantzatu! Mugarik gabe dantzatu! Tailerraren helburua gorputzaren esplorazioa da mugimenduan eta gaitasun korporal eta sentsorialaren garapena. Tailerra kondizio eta egoera ezberdinetan dauden pertsonei zuzenduta dago. Dantza erabiliko dugu gerturatzeko, errekonozitzeko, hitz egiteko, harremantzeko eta hazteko modu bezala. Bakoitzak bere ezberdintasunetik ekarpenak egitea da ideia. Hau da, Bestearen bakartasunetik hasi, gero Bestearen diferentziarekiko beldurra gainditzeko. Dantza iklusiboak, dantza kontenporaneoarekiko eta artearekiko pertzepzio eta begirada aldaketa bultzatzen du. Gainera, gorputzaren, mugikortasunaren, estetikaren eta edertasunaren inguruan bizitzan zehar pilatu ditugun kontzeptuak ezabatzeko aukera da.

Taller de Danza Inclusiva

¡BailaSinFronteras!

Inclusive Dance Workshop

BailaSinFronteras! BailaSinObstaculos! BailaSinLímites! The aim of the workshop is the exploration of the body in movement and the development of physical and sensory abilities. It is open to people who live in different conditions and situations. We will use dance as a new way to approach, recognize, discuss, communicate and grow. The idea is that everyone contributes from their own differences. That is, starting from the singularity of the Other to then overcome the fear of  the different and the Other. Inclusive dance inspires a change in the perception of contemporary dance and art. In addition, it is a possibility to erase concepts about the body, mobility, aesthetics and beauty that we have accumulated in the course of our lives.

Descubriendo las Sidrerías

Sagardotegia, sagardoa produzitu eta kontsumitzen den lokal bat da. Euskal tradizioak, sagardoa erosteko interesa zuten sagardo dastatzaileei etxetik beraien janaria eramateko aukera ematen zieten, sagardo dastaketa egiteko eta zerbait jateko. Hau, gerora, dastaketarako eta jateko toki bihurtu zen. Gaur egun tradizioak dirau, baina sagardotegiek, jatetxe baten antza ematen dien kutsu komertzial bat hartu dute, menu propioa izanik.

"Aurreko larunbatean, nire familia europarrarekin eta KAEBNAI-koarekin, sagardotegi batera joan nintzen. Denok sagardotegien tradizioa ezagutzeko eta euskal kulturara gehiago gerturatzeko gogoa genuen. Bidean, paisaiak harritu ninduen. Paisaia zoragarria zen, espazio berde askorekin, zuhaitzak eta loreak. Sagardotegia mendian zegoela esan zidaten, euskal herriko etxe tipiko batean. Sagardotegiko pertsonak zain genituen, janari tradizionalez beteriko mahai handi batekin. Bakailao tortilla, bakailaoa barazki eta sagardo saltsarekin, txuleta eta postre moduan gazta, irasagarra eta intxaurrak probatu genituen, sagardo piloarekin noski. Ia kupela guztiak dastatu genituen: sagardotegiko emakumea gerturatzen zen, txotx! oihukatzen zuen, kupela irekitzen zuen guretzako eta edan egiten genuen. Kupela berri bat dastatzen genuen bakoitzean, sagardo horren urtea esaten zigun eta basoa ongi betetzeko zein mugimendu egin erakusten zigun. Gauerdi arte egon ginen eta guztiok oso pozik geratu ginen esperientzia honekin. Ziur nago honetaz beti gogoratuko garela. Boluntario lokalei eskerrak eman nahi dizkiet sagardotegian batera pasatako momentuengatik!!!"

A “Sidrería” (cider house) is a house where the cider is produced and consumed. The Basque tradition calls on cider tasters to take their own food there, taste the cider and eat a good meal. This later became an established gastronomic tradition. Today that tradition continues, but the cider houses have taken on a commercial spirit and operate as a restaurant with its own menu.

"Last Saturday, together with my European and KAEBNAI family, I went to a Sidrería (Cider House). We were curious to discover the tradition of the Sidrerías to get closer to Basque culture. On the way there the scenery surprised me. The view was wonderful with a lot of green, trees and flowers. The Cider house was in the mountains in a typical Basque house, they told me. The people of the Sidrería were waiting for us with a big table full of traditional food. We tried tortilla with cod, cod with vegetables and cider sauce, chuleta (chops), and for dessert traditional cheese with quince jam and nuts and of course a lot of cider. We tried almost all barrels: the lady from the Sidrería came, shouted txotx!, opened the barrel for us and we drank. Every time we tried a new barrel she told us the year of the cider and showed us the moves how to fill the glass in the correct way. We stayed there until midnight and we were all very happy with this experience. I am sure that we will remember this forever. I want to thank the local volunteers for the time we spent together in the Sidrería!!!"

Seminario en Hondarribia

Apirilaren 31etik maiatzaren 8ra, 35 gazte-helduren taldea bildu zen mugako Hondarribia hirian Europako Komisioarentzat proposamen bat garatzeko. 7 herrialde ezberdinetatik zetozen (Grezia, Portugal, Georgia, Estonia, Errumania eta Eslovakia, eta noski, baita Espainia ere) ziurtagiri baten sorkuntzan lan egiteko, EBZ boluntarioan tutore arrakastatsu izandakoei emana. Talde kohesioa ezin hobea izan zen eta boluntario guztiak bildu eta dibertitu ziren. Hemen ikusten diren irudiek pertsona bakoitzak ekarri zuen pasioa, interesa eta energia biltzen dute. Aste ikaragarria bezala bakarrik deskribatu daiteke.

Vicente

Vicente

"From the 31st of April to the 8th of May a group of mostly young adults got together in the border town of Hondarribia to develop a proposal for the European Commission. They came from 7 different countries (Greece, Portugal, Georgia, Estonia, Romania and Slovakia, as well as Spain itself) to argue for the creation of a new certification, awarded to those who successfully mentored an EVS volunteer. The cohesion of the group was fantastic and all the volunteers were fully engaged and having fun. The pictures seen here bear testament to the passion, interest and energy that each person brought to what can only be described as an amazing week."

Comida Intercultural

Zein da herrialde bat ezagutzeko modurik onena, bertako janariarekin ez bada?

Hori da gure “Kaebnai team”ek pentsatu zuena guk bertako boluntarioak pixka bat gehiago ezagutzeko eta beraiek gu ezagutzeko.

Ideia interesgarria eta polita izan zen, 9 boluntarioek geure janari tipikoak sukaldatu genituen edo gure herrialdeetako osagai tipikoak erabili genituen:

Grezia – tzatziki eta Greziako entsalada

Belgika – haragi bolak endibiarekin

Italia – tiramisú

Estonia eta Txekiar Errepublika – patata entsalada

Letonia – pataten pancakes-a

Errumania – txanpinoi tarta

Alemania – strudel

Portugal – pasta hotza

Oso polita izan zen ikustea nola guztiek gure errezetak dastatzeko aukera izan zuten eta denei gustatu zitzaien. Gainera elkar gehiago ezagutzeko eta igande on bat pasatzeko aukera izan genuen.

Honez gain, bazkaria kolaboratzen dugun Mundo Nuevo elkartean (auzoko haur eta gazteekin egiten du lan) izan zenez, elkarteko koordinatzaile den Mari Pepak, oso emakume jatorra eta aktiba, haurrekin ekintza ezberdinak egitea proposatu zigun.

Egia esan eguraldiak ez gintuen asko lagundu eta etorri ziren haurrak azkenean ez ziren asko izan, baino dena antolatu eta azaldu zuten Idoia, Irene eta Eka-ri  esker, arratsalde ona izan zen eta uste dut etorri ziren haur eta gurasoek oso ondo pasa zutela gurekin eta guk beraiekin.

Grecia – tzatziki y ensalada griega

Bélgica – albóndigas con endibia

Italia – tiramisú

Estonia y Republica Checa – ensalada de patatas

Letonia – pancakes de patatas

Rumania – tarta de champiñones

Alemania – strudel

Is there a better way to know more about a Country than through its food?

Maybe not. That is why our Kaebnai team organized a cultural lunch: to let us know better the local volunteers and to let them know better our culture and us. It’s been a really nice and interesting idea. We all cooked typical food of our countries and we used typical ingredients:

Greece – tzatziki and Greek salad

Belgium - meatballs with endive

Italy – tiramisu

Estonia and Czech Republic – potato salad

Latvia – potato pancakes

Rumania – mushroom pie

Germany – strudel

Portugal – cold pasta

It has been very nice to see how people could taste our recipes and how they liked everything and also to have the opportunity to get to know more each other and to spend a nice Sunday.

The place chosen was the headquarters of the association Mundo Nuevo, with who we collaborate also, and that works mostly with young people from the neighbourhoods. Mari Pepa, the coordinator of the association, a very kind and active lady, had the idea and proposed us to do some activities with the children, and we accepted.

The weather didn’t help us so much: only ten or some more children came. But thanks to Idoia, Irene and Eka who organized and explained us everything, it was a very nice and joyful evening. And I’m sure that also the children and their parents that came had a good time with us.

Curso de SVE - Belabaratz

Joan den asteburuan Belabaratzera joan ginen boluntario europarren taldea eta KAEBNAI-ko talde lokala Europako Boluntariotza Zerbitzuko sarrera ikastarora. Bidaia motz baten ostean, ordubete baino gutxiagoan, guztiz testuinguru ezberdinera iritsi ginen: euskal etxe tipiko bat genuen zain (baserri bat) mendiez eta zeru urdinaz bakarrik inguratuta (edo grisa “Euskadi Tropikala”ren momentuaren arabera), ardiak eta errepidea. Lehenengo momentutik energiaz bete gintuen mendiko aire freskoak, naturaren usainak eta bista politek.

Iritsi ginenean, parte hartzaileak ezagutzeko eta izotza hausteko dinamikak egiten hasi ginen. Positiboki harritu gintuen taldea erraz osatzeak eta hasieratik kohesio polita egoteak. Kohesio dinamiken ondoren Ainhoak, gure tutoreetako bat, maitasun guztiarekin parte-hartzaile guztientzako egindako janari gozoaz disfrutatu genuen.

Bigarren egunean gure herrialdeak modu dibertigarri eta interaktibo batean aurkezteko aukera izan genuen, non parte-hartzaileek taldeka Europako “altxorrak” aurkitu behar zituzten jolas batean. Gauean kulturarteko gaubela izan genuen, non dantzatu genuen eta parte-hartzaileekin Euskal Herriaren inguruan gehiago ikasteko aukera izan genuen, beraiek prestatutako jolas baten bitartez.

Guretzat, talde lanaren inguruko esperientzia polita izan zen Belabaratz-eko asteburua, gure artean gehiago ezagutzeko eta euskal kulturarekin konektatzeko aukera.

Irina

"Last weekend the group of European volunteers together with the local team of KAEBNAI, we went in Belabaratz for an EVS Introduction. After a short trip in less than an hour, here we are in a totally different environment:  a typical Basque house was expecting us – caserio – surrounded only by mountains and blue or grey sky (depending on the moment of "tropical Euskadi "), sheep and the highway. From the first moment the freshness of the mountain air, the smell of the nature and the beautiful views filled us with joy and energy.

After the arrival of the participants we made some dynamics and energizer to get to know each other and to break the ice. We were positively surprised that the group formed easily and the cohesion was very good from the beginning. After the icebreaking part we enjoyed the delicious food that Ainhoa, one of our tutors, prepared for the participants.

In the second day we had the opportunity to speak and present more about our countries in a fun and interactive way through a game in which four teams searched for the "treasures" of Europe. In the evening we had intercultural activities where we danced and learned about the Basque Country from the local participants through a game that they have prepared.

For us, the weekend in Belabaratz was a nice experience of teamwork, an opportunity to work in a nice atmosphere on our projects, to get to know each other more and to connect with the Basque culture."

Feria del Voluntariado: Biblioteca viviente

Joan den asteazkenean boluntariotzaren inguruko feria zegoen Unibertsitatean (EHU). Donostiako organizazio ezberdinak bildu ziren ikasleei Donostian dauden boluntariotza egiteko aukera ezberdinen inguruan informatzeko. Nola ez, gu han ginen. Interesgarriagoa eta dibertigarriagoa izateko “Liburutegi Biziduna” antolatzea erabaki genuen. Dialogoa sustatzeko, aurreiritziak murrizteko eta ulermena sustatzeko saiakera bezala sortu zen, metodologia berritzaile batekin. Danimarkako gazte talde batek sortu zuen. Dinamika ondorengoa da: Eva eta ni liburuzainak ginen eta bertatik pasatzen ziren ikasleak gure liburuak irakurtzera animatzen genituen. Liburuak “bizidunak” ziren, beraien historiak eta boluntariotzako esperientziak kontatzen zituzten boluntarioak ziren. Atentzioa erakartzeko izenburu interesgarriak bilatzen saiatu ginen, eta lortu genuen! Dinamika honi esker Erasmus+ eta Europako Boluntario Zerbitzua zabaltzen ere saiatu ginen.

Sophie

Sophie

"Last Wednesday there was a fair about Volunteering at the University. Different organizations of San Sebastian gathered together to inform the students about volunteering opportunities. Of course we were there too. To make it a little more interesting we had decided to organize a 'Human Library'. The Human Library is an innovative method designed to promote dialogue, reduce prejudices and encourage understanding. It was invented by a group of young people in Denmark. It went like this: Eva and me were the librarians and we encouraged students who were passing by to read one of the books in our library. The books, however, were 'human', e.d. other volunteers, who then told them one of their experiences as a volunteer. We tried to find original titles to attract attention! This way we tried to inform students about Erasmus + volunteering opportunities."

#TODOS creamos Donostia

Ostiral goizero, ordubetez, 9 boluntarioak pintura proiektu batean dabiltza lanean Jonerekin (ATZEGI elkartea), eta azken emaitza hurrengo urtean zehar, 2016, ikusgai egongo dira, Donostia Europako Kapital Kulturala izaten denean (DSS2016). Gutako batzuk pixka bat eszeptiko hasieran, beste batzuk ilusioarekin, denok emozio ezberdinez beteta…

Every Friday morning, for 1 hour, all 9 volunteers are working in a painting project with Jone (ATZEGI association), and the final result will be displayed during the next year, 2016, when Donostia will be European Capital of Culture (DSS2016). Some of us were a bit sceptical at first, others excited, all full of different emotions…

“Batxilergoaren ondoren egitea inoiz pentsatu ez nuen zerbait da margotzearena. Jarduera koloretsua zela oroitzen dut, batzuetan nire irakasle maitearen eskakizun tekniko zorrotzek lainotua. Jorgek, gure lider ausartak, martxoan zehar ostiralero ordubetez pintura klaseak edukiko genituela esan zigunean, ilusio handirik gabe geratu nintzen, ziur ekintza polita izango zela baina ezta oso ilusionaturik egoteko ere. Nire atseginerako, oker nengoen.

Gure auzoan ia galdu eta gero, Jone aurkitu genuen bere estudioan. Ilusio eta maitekor hartu gintuen eta lehenengo momentutik etxean bezala sentitu ginen. Egin beharrekoa nahiko erraza zen – koadrorako gai bat aukeratzea, Donostiako edo gure herrialdeko eszena bat eta mihise batean jartzea. Nik egin nahi nuen gauza bakarra barku bat margotzea zen. Edozein barku. Eta oso pozik nago Joneri nire irudia aukeratzen utzi niolako. Santa Clara irlara nabigatzen zuen belaontzi txiki bat, iluntzea baino pixka bat beranduago.

Oihalean koloreak jartzea ematen duena baino sinpleagoa da. Ondo egitea da zailena. Batzuetan hodietatik kolore zehatza aurkitzeak ezinezkoa dirudi. Prozesu honetan margolariaren umoreak eragin handia du. Lorik egin gabeko gau baten eta kaferik gabeko goiz baten ondoren, nahiko zapuztua sentitzen nintzen eta itsaso ekaiztsua konjuratu nuen, Santa Klarako arroken aurka nire barkua hausteko prest egotea ematen zuena. Dena ondo zegoen goizetan aldiz, lanean murgiltzen nintzen eta orduek hegan egiten zutela zirudien. Egun horiek pintzel eta margoen ariketa kontziente bat ziren, erabat disfrutatzen nuena.

Gure konfiantzako artisau azkarrenek, amaitu zituzten beraien obrak jada, gainontzekoei uste genuena baino denbora gehiago hartu zigun bitartean. Hilabeteko abentura izan behar zuena, bikoiztu eta hirukoiztu ere egin zen. Zorionez, ez zen arazoa izan gure lana amaitzen uztea, ez Kaebnai-ren partetik eta ezta Joneren aldetik ere. Boluntario azkarrenek, nahi izan dutenek, hasi dute jada margolan berria, plazer pertsonalerako.

Gure lanak TODOS creamos Donostia proiektuaren parte bezala ikusgai egongo dira, Europar hiriburutza DSS2016 programaren barnean egongo dena. 2016an zehar, gure koadroez gain, beste margolan batzuk ere egongo dira ikusgai eta ekitaldi eta erakusketa gehiago ere egongo dira.”

Arto”

“Painting is something that I never thought of doing after high school. I remember it as a colourful activity clouded by sometimes strict technical demands of my dear teacher. So when Jorge, our fearless leader, said that we are going to have painting classes every Friday for the whole of March it left me quite emotionless. Sure, a nice activity but nothing to be too excited for. I was pleasantly proven wrong.

After almost getting lost in our own neighbourhood we met Jone in her studio. She greeted us with enthusiastic yet calm warmness and we felt like at home from the first moment. Task was quite simple – to pick a theme, either in Donostia or a scene from back home. And then put that image onto the canvas. All I wanted to do was to paint a ship. Any ship. So I was happy to let Jone choose an image for me. A small sailboat skipping past the isle of Santa Clara just a slight after the sunset felt right.

Actually putting colours onto paper is simpler that it might look. But to do it well is ever so difficult. Even getting the right colour out of the tubes often seems like an impossible task. The process is also influenced by the mood of the painter. After a sleepless night and coffeeless morning I felt quite frustrated and conjured a stormy sea that seemed to be ready to smash the boat against the rocks of Santa Clara. But on mornings when everything was on point I just got lost in work and the tiny hour went past flying. Those days it was a mindful exercise with paint and pencils that I enjoyed thoroughly.

Our more confident and faster artisans finished their pieces sooner but for the rest of us it took longer than expected. What was supposed to be a month long venture doubled and even tripled in duration. Fortunately it was of no problem for Kaebnai nor Jone to let us finish in peace. Quicker volunteers got to choose some extra work when they felt like it.

Our works will be displayed part of TODOS creamos Donostia project which will be included in DSS2016 program. During 2016 they will show a series of painting exhibits and other artistic and cultural events.

Goienetxe

Gaur Lindak Goienetxen bizi duen esperientzia azalduko digu, astero lan egiten dugun elkartea, non bakoitzak bere ekintza duen:

Sophie, Eva eta nik ekintza partikularrak ditugu, pertsona bakar batekin, honi hizkuntzak irakatsiz, kirola eginez eta hirian zehar paseatuz;

Arto eta Lisak yoga klaseak ematen dituzte Groseko zentroan;

Vicente eta Luciek teknologia berrien eta Facebooken inguruko klaseak ematen dituzte;

Linda eta Irinak dantza biziko klaseak ematen dituzte Berrillon;

Eta denok batera Euskara klaseak ditugu Groseko irakasle honenetako batekin.

Sophie, Eva y yo tenemos actividades particulares, con una sola persona, a la que le ensenamos idiomas, deporte y con la que damos paseos por la ciudad;

Arto y Lisa tienen clase de yoga en el centro que está en Gros;

Vicente y Lucie dan clases de nuevas tecnologías y Facebook;

Linda y Irina tienen clases de baile marchoso en Berrillo;

Today Linda will tell you about her experience in Goienetxe, an association with whom we are working every week and where every one of us has different activities:

Sophie, Eva and I have individual activities where we teach languages, sports and where we just walk around the city;

Arto and Lisa have yoga workshops in Gros;

Vicente and Lucie have workshops of new technologies and Facebook;

Linda and Irina have workshops of active dancing;

And all together we have Basque lessons with one of the best teacher, in Gros.

“Goienetxera iritsi nintzen lehen aldian pixka bat nahastuta nengoen, eta baita nola izango zenarekin kezkatuta, zer egin behar nuen, nola portatu behar nintzen.

Hizkuntzarekin jada nahiko hunkituta nengoen, toki berria eta hainbeste emozio berriekin.

Irina (Errumania) eta nik (Letonia) dantza biziko klaseak ematen ditugu.

Lehenengo klasean parte-hartzaile bakoitza aurkeztu ziguten (3 pertsonekin egiten dugu lan) eta hezitzailearen laguntzaz sortu duten perfila, gustatzen zaizuna, gustatzen ez zaizuna, zertan behar duten gure laguntza… ezagutzen laguntzen duena.

Gero izotza hausteko masaje batzuekin hasi ginen, eta hemen hasi nintzen ni ere erlaxatzen.

Hurrengoan benetako klaseak hasi genituen, hasteko mugimendu sinkronizatuak bilatuz baina gero konturatu ginen ez zirela beharrezkoak. Bertara joaten garen bakoitzean gehiago ikasten dugu guztioi ondo sentiarazten gaituenaren inguruan, gustatzen zaigun musikaren inguruan non gehienetan Espainola edo Euskalduna den, mugimendu honenen inguruan beraien atentzioa harrapatzeko guregan eta dantzarengan.

Oso polita da ikustea nola eman ditzakezun alaitasun momentu txikiak modu sinple batean eta baita jaso ere, beraiek inoiz ez diotelako gezurrik beraien emozioei dagokienez.

Esperientzia garatzeko oportunitate handia da, zure burua gehiago ulertu eta zure emozioak betetzeko.”

Linda

Linda

"When I first arrived to Goienetxe I was a little confused, maybe even a little worried about how it was going to be, what I needed to do now or how I needed to behave.

There was already enough excitement about the language, about the new place and so many new emotions.

Irina (Romania) and I are providing active dancing workshops in this organization.

The first time we arrived at Goienetxe, we were presented with each person (3 people in total with whom we will work) and the portfolios which they developed themselves with the help of employees. In the portfolio appears what they like, what they do not like, in what situations they need our help, etc.

After viewing the portfolios we had a small icebreaker, where we gave small massages to each other. Already at this point I felt that I began to relax.

The next time we went to Goienetxe we had our first lesson. At the beginning we both thought of synchronized movements, but realized that it was not necessary. Of course every time when we go there, we develop our understanding on what music they like, making us all feel more comfortable. And of course they prefer Spanish and Basque music. We also have to think about what moves are better for them and how to keep their attention to us and dancing.

It is nice to feel that you can give them joyful moments and get the opposite of the emotions, because these people don’t lie about their emotions how they feel in the moment.

This is a unique opportunity to develop experience, identify your emotions, and replenish your spirituality."

Semana Santa y Semana de Pascua

Aste Santuko oporretatik bueltatu gara eta gure ekintzetan ia bete-betean murgildurik gaude.

Baino lehenengo egun hauetan egin duguna kontatu nahi dizuegu, denok Espainian geratu garelako, Bartzelonan, Logroñon, Zaragozan eta Donostian.

Eva eta ni (Giudita) Zaragozara joan ginen 700 urte baino gehiagoko historia duten eta berezitasunagatik bakarrak diren prozesio famatuak deskubritzera. Zaragozako Aste Santua berezia eta desberdina egiten duena eta guri izugarri gustatu zaiguna Pazko igandea da, eta bere soinua: 7000 bonbo eta danbor baino gehiagok laguntzen diote hiri guztian zehar prozesioari eta bere pausuei, mundu guztitik datozen bisitariei eta hiritarrei dar-dar egin araziz.

The ‘Semana Santa’ holiday is finished and we already started our activities again!

But we would like to tell you a bit about what we did in our vacation because we all stayed here in Spain: Barcelona, Logroño, Zaragoza and Donostia.

Eva and I went to Zaragoza to discover the famous procesiones that are more tan 700 years old and are unique for their singularity. The peculiarity of Semana Santa in Zaragoza, and what we really loved, is its sound: more than 7000 drums that accompany the procession all along the city by vibrating the citizens and the visitors that came from all over the world.

Zaragoza

Logroño

Gure boluntarioen beste zati bat Errioxara joan zen, Logroñora: Lucie, Irina eta Arto.

“Aste Santurako, Irina, Arto eta nik etorrerarako Bilboko formazioan ezagutu genituen EBZ-ko hiru boluntario bisitatzea erabaki genuen. Hauek, beraien EBZ-ko proiektua Logroñon burutzen dute, Errioxako hiriburua, bere ardo zaporetsuagatik ezaguna.

Bertara joan ginen ez bakarrik hiri eder hau ezagutzera eta geure lagunekin elkartzera, baita Aste Santuko ospakizunak ikustera ere, gure herrialdeetakoekin alderatuz guztiz ezberdinak baitira. Aste guztian zehar Jesusen historia erakusten duten prozesioak daude. Bertako pertsonek traje berezi batzuk janzten dituzte eta giroa oso berezia da. Eguraldi ona izan genuen eta hiri guztia ikusteko aukera eman zigun, ibai ondoko parkean oso momentu polita pasa genuen, bertako ardo ospetsua probatu genuen eta musika flamenkoko kontzertu bat ere ikusi genuen. Bi egun hauek oso politak izan ziren, dibertsioz beteta eta momentu interesgarriekin."

Lucie

Lucie

Another part of our group of volunteers went to La Rioja, in Logroño: Lucie, Irina and Arto.

“For the Easter holiday, Irina, Arto and I decided to visit 3 EVS volunteers, whom we met on Arrival Training in Bilbao. They are doing the EVS project in Logroño, the capital of the province La Rioja, famous for its very tasty wine.  Our aim wasn’t just to visit a beautiful city and meet our friends, but also to see the celebrations of the Holy week, which are totally different in our home countries. All week in the city, processions showed the story of Jesus. People are dressed in costumes and the atmosphere is very special. We had nice weather, which gave us a good opportunity see all city, spent some time in a very nice park close to the river, try famous local wine or see a concert of flamenco music. We had a really good time there, full of fun and interesting moments."

#UNITEDINDIFFERENCES

Zer da?

Martxoaren 21ean Arraza Bereizketa Forma guztien Ezabatzearen egun internazionala da, 1966an Nazio Batuen Asanblada Nagusiak ezarria, Afrika Hegoaldeko 69 manifestatzaileren hilketaren ondoren. Masa hilketa hau Hego Afrikako Gobernuaren apartheid legearen kontrako protestetan gertatu zen, segregazioa eta arraza ezberdintasuna sistematikoki garatzen duen erregimena. Gaur egun hilketak eta biolentzia arrazista oraindik ere maiz gertatzen dira, eta arraza bereizketak gure gizartean presente jarraitzen du.

Zer egin dezakegu kontrastatzeko?

Gu eta gainontzekoak alertatzeko mezu positiboa zabaldu, eskuz esku dibertsitatera.

Martxoaren 16tik 21era, Greziako “United Society of Balkans” Gobernuz Kanpoko Erakundeak, irudi bat konpartitzera gonbidatzen gaitu #UnitedInDifferences hastag-arekin eta facebook-en konpartituz.

Guk geure herrialdeetako estereotipoei buruz idatzi dugu. Eta zuk?

Eva

¿Y tu?

Eva

What is “United in Differences”?

The 21st of March is the International Day for the Elimination of all Forms of Racial Discrimination, established by the General Assembly of the United Nations in 1966 following the brutal murder of 69 protestors in South Africa.

The mass killing occurred during a protest against the apartheid laws of the South African government, a regime systematically enforcing racial inequality and segregation. Today racist murders and violence are still frequent and racial discrimination continues to be found in our society.

What could we do to contrast?

Spread a positive message to encourage ourselves and others to stand hand in hand for diversity. From the 16th to the 21st March, United Society of Balkans, (an association from Greece) invites us to share a picture with a sentence followed by this hashtag ‪ #‎UnitedInDifferences and share this picture on facebook.

We wrote about stereotypes for our countries. And you?

Eva

Zer egin dugu Kaebnai-n?

Gu ere mezu bat zabaltzen saiatu gara ekintza berezi eta interesgarri batekin: “Gazteak elkarbizitzen ikasten”. Martxoaren 21ean, Kaebnai elkarteak eta Haritzaldek zuhaitz landaketa antolatu zuten.

What did we do with Kaebnai?

We have also tried to send a message through a very curious and interesting activity: "Youths learning how to live together". On the 21st of March, both the association Kaebnai and Haritzalde organized a Tree-Planting activity.

Zer esan nahi du honek?

Gure boluntario Europearren taldeak bertako boluntarioekin batera, larunbatean, euria egin arren, Aieteko Puio landara joan ginen, bertako eta kanpotarrekin juntatzeko, eta zuhaitzik gabe galtzen ari zen landaren parte hau pixka bat animatzeko. Euriak ez gintuen asko lagundu egunari animoa ematen, baino bai ekintza hau egitearen arrazoiak. Arrazoiaren garrantziak eta iniziatibak bi gauza esanguratsu batzen zituen: natura eta barrerak botatzeko borroka.

Giudita

What is it?

On Saturday, European volunteers, together with local volunteers, went to the Fields of Puio in Aiete, despite the rain, to reanimate the parts of the fields that were being lost due to the lack of trees. The rain didn’t encourage our day, but the intent was very important and the initiative put together two significant things, the nature and the struggle to overthrow barriers.

+55 y Voluntarios europeos

+ 55 pertsona helduen elkartea da, kolektibo honentzat ekintzak organizatzen dituena. Elkarte honen presentzia oso garrantzitsua da hirian, jarduerak eta estaldura bat bermatzen duelako zerbitzu honek hiriko auzo guztietan, salbuespenik gabe.

Zentro hauek pertsona helduen elkarteek kudeatzen dituzte, oinarrizko irizpide komunak izanik eta beraien barne araudia edukita.

Elkarte hauek organizatzen dituzten ekintzak honako hauek dira:

Osasun fisikoaren sustapena eta prebentzioa, pertsonen arteko harremanak sustatzea;

Gizarte eta jolas jarduerak, festak eta ospakizunak;

Kultura jarduerak (txangoak, museoetara bisitak, eta abar).

Gu hartu gaituen Kaebnai elkarteak +55-ekin kolaboratzen du eta gure proiektuko asteko planeko ekintzetako bat Egiako zentro batean garatzen da, ostegunero 10:30tatik 13:00tara, honako ekintza hauekin:

Ingelesa Arto eta Evarekin,

Yoga Lisa eta Lindarekin,

Argazkigintza Sophie eta Lucierekin,

Mugikorrak Arto eta Irinarekin.

Aurreko astean gure sentsazioak eta gure lana kontatu genituen Etb2-ko Teleberrian, eta orain Lisak laburpen txiki bat egingo dizue.

"Nire Yoga ezagutzak partekatzea eta +55ean erakustea, bizitzako esperientziak elkartrukatzeko aukera handia da. 6 urteko praktikari esker, gorputzaren lanketak eta fisiko eta psikikoaren arteko konexioak duen garrantziari buruz asko ikasi dut. Ongizate egoera lortu dezakegu praktika kontziente eta lasai baten bitartez. Horregatik, asko eskertzen dut emakume helduekin lan egitea, klase ordua aberasten dutelako erritmo ezberdina eta perspektiba berri bat emanez. Opari bat da eman eta jaso ahal izatea."

Prevención y promoción de la salud física, potenciación de las relaciones interpersonales;

Actividades socio-recreativas, fiestas y celebraciones;

Actividades culturales (excursiones, visitas a museos, etc.).

+ 55 is an association of and for senior citizens that organizes a range of activities. Their activities take place all over the city in different neighbourhoods and their presence hence strengthens community life in the city.

The activities organized by these centers are:

Prevention and promotion of physical health, enhancing interpersonal relationships;

Socio-recreational activities, parties and celebrations;

Cultural activities (excursions, visits to museums, etc.).

Our hosting association, Kaebnai, also collaborates with +55. In our EVS Project, one of the weekly activities takes place in their center in Egia. Every Thursday from 10:30 am to 1 pm we go their to give workshops of:

English with Arto and Eva, Yoga with Lisa and Linda, Photographywith Sophie and Lucie and Mobile with Arto and Irina.

Last week we talked about our experiences and impressions on Teleberri, an informative program on ETB2, and here Lisa makes a short summary:

“Sharing my knowledge of Yoga through teaching in +55 is a beautiful opportunity to share life experiences. Thanks to 6 years of practice, I’ve learned a lot about the importance of working with our body and about how the mind and the body are connected. States of well-being can be reached through mindful and calm practice and this is why I appreciate working with older women a lot. They enrich the hour with their distinct rhythm and new perspectives. It is a present for me being able to give and receive.”

Actividades y Sociedad!

Ziur nago zeuen buruari galdetu diozuela: nor dago blog-aren atzean? Nork idazten du? Nork jartzen ditu argazkiak? 9 pertsonek?

Bai, egia da 9 pertsonen lana organizatzea ez dela batere erraza. Beraz, blog honetako lana koordinatzeko bi pertsona gaude: Giudita eta Vicente! Baino denok batera egiten dugu lan, familia baten moduan!

I’m sure you are all asking: who is behind this blog? Who is writing the texts? Who is putting the pictures online? All 9 volunteers?

Organizing a blog with 9 people is not always easy. Therefore there are two of us who are coordinating this blog: Giudita and Vicente! However, we all work together as a family!

GIUDITA Italiarra

Cagliari da nire hiria, Sardinia hegoaldean. Nire unibertsitate ikasketak orain dela 3 urte amaitu nituen eta lan asko egin dut kultura arloan, antzerkian eta komunikazioan orokorrean. Itsasoa, beroa eta janaria maite ditut. Baita jende berria ezagutzea, nirea ez diren beste hizkuntzak hitz egitea, idaztea, irakurtzea eta bidaiatzea!

I come from Cagliari, in the south of Sardinia. I finished my studies at University 3 years ago and after I worked a lot in the cultural sector, in a theatre and in communication. I love the sea (or the ocean, whatever), hot weather and good food. I like meeting new people, speaking in other languages, writing, reading and traveling!

VICENTE Portugaldarra

Kaixo! Nire izena Vicente da eta Portugaldarra naiz. 22 urte ditut eta bidaiatzea, hizkuntza berriak ikastea eta musika tipo ezberdinak entzutea eta jotzea maite ditut. Hau da, bizitza bizitzea gustatzen zait orokorrean. Politika eta Erlazio Internazionalak ikasi nituen Erresuma Batuko Southampton Unibertsitatean. Tendentzia ekonomiko sozialak eta politiko liberalak ditut. Zerbait gehiago? Ah, bai… txakurrak katuak baino gustukoago ditut (beraien independentziagatik).

Hola!

Hi! My name is Vicente and I am from Portugal. I’m 22 years old and I love to travel, learn new languages, listen and play different types of music and live life in general. I studied Politics and International Relations in the University of Southampton, in the United Kingdom. I have socialist economic tendencies and liberal political tendencies. Anything else? Oh, yeh… I prefer cats to dogs (because of their independence).

Talleres Culturales

Blog-eko lehenengo sarreran azaldutako jarduerekin hasi gara, eta noizean behin hunkitzen gaituena, gustatzen zaiguna eta batez ere esperientzia honekin ikasi dezakeguna kontatzen joango gara.

Oso garrantzitsua: tailer kulturalak eta hizkuntza tailerrak hasi ditugu. Lehenengo tailer kulturala, gutako bakoitzaren herrialdeko musikaren ingurukoa izan da eta hurrengo astean gure herrialdeetako kondairen inguruan hitz egingo dizuegu… Ezin da galdu, ezta?

Italiarreko hizkuntza tailerrean “ikasle” batzuk falta zaizkigu, denok zarete ongi etorriak!

This week we started with some of the activities in the associations we will be working with. From now on we will write you about what excites us, what we like, what we don’t like and, most of all, what we are learning from this experience.

Very important: we started with our cultural and linguistic workshops in CRAJ. The first cultural workshop was about the music of our countries and next week we are going to tell you about our mythology…not to miss! We are only lacking some “students” in the italian class, please spread the word!

Oraingoz Euskal kulturaren inguruko gauza berri bat deskubritu dugu: elkarte gastronomikoak zer diren! Eta Irinaren (Rumania) hitzetan azalduko dizuegu.

EUSKAL GASTRONOMIARA SARRERA

Aurreko larunbatean, Andoainera joan ginen, non euskal gastronomiako plater tipiko batzuk probatzeko aukera izan genuen. Txemi, KAEBNAI-ko bolondresa eta gure laguna denak, bera parte den elkarte gastronomikora gonbidatu gintuen bazkaltzera. Hainbat plater probatu genituen, beste batzuen artean Tolosako babarrun gozoak, patatak labean, entsalada goxoak eta baita irasagarra ere. Azken hau hemengo postre tipikoaren barnean: gazta, irasagarra eta intxaurrak.

Niretzat esperientzia autentikoa izan zen eta Euskal Herriko tradizioa eta kulturaren inguruan gehiago ulertzen lagundu zidan. Txemik kontatu zidan elkartea orain dela 25 urte sortu zela eta lehenengo bere aita izan zela bertako partaide, eta orain jubilatuta dagoela bera sartu zela. Horregatik, elkartea bere infantziaren parte da eta oroitzapen eta lagun asko ditu bertan.

Txemiri horrelako entusiasmoarekin hitz egiten ikusirik, ulertu nuen gauzak sozializatu eta disfrutatzeaz aratago doazela, denona dena errespetatu behar dugula, besteekin laguntasuna partekatu behar dugula, baita konpainia eta alaitasuna ere. Eta bisitatu genuena bezalako elkarteak komunitate fuerte eta batuagoa edukitzen laguntzen duela.

We also discovered something new about Basque culture this week: the ‘sociedades gastronomicas’, and here you can read about our experience in Irina’s words (volunteer from Rumania).

AN INTRODUCTION TO BASQUE GASTRONOMY

This Saturday we went to Andoain, where we had the chance to try some of the typical dishes of the Basque gastronomy. Txemi, one of our colleague volunteers of KAEBNAI, invited us all to have lunch in his gastronomic society. We tried various dishes, for example the delicious Tolosa beans, oven-baked potatoes, salad and also a traditional dessert of cheese, marmalade and walnuts, called membrillo.

For me it was a very authentic experience that made me understand more about the culture and tradition of the Basque Country. Txemi told me that the society is more than 25 years old and that his father was a member first, and now that he is retired Txemi joined. The society is really a part of his childhood and he made many friends and memories in this place.

While listening to Txemi, speaking with a lot of enthusiasm about the society, I understood that this is more than a simple place to socialize and enjoy. It is about respect for a common good, the joy of sharing friendship, company and happiness. The society contributes to create a stronger and more interconnected community.

Formación a la llegada Bilbao 2015

SVE-EBZri buruzko jakin behar duzun lehengo gauzetatik familia baten parte zarela da, eta familia hori haunditu daitekeela denbora epe laburrean. Epealdi honi ‘hasierako prestakuntza’ eta ‘tarteko ebaluazioa’ deitzen zaio.

Lehenengo epealdiari SVE-EBZaren hasieran egiten da normalean eta honen alderdi askoko prestakuntza egiten da (AXA, Youthpass, gatazka konponketa, …). Partehartzaileentzat informazio hau esperientziaren hasiera argi edukitzea oso garrantzitsua da. Aste beteko ekitaldia da eta 30 SVE-EBSko boluntario parte hartzen dute.

Gure hasierako prestakuntza Espainiako hiri politenetako batean izan zen, Bilbon, Donostia ostean noski!

Aste bat, Espainiako iparraldeko 28 boluntario, hoberenetako 4 hezitzaile, ederrenetako munduko museoan eta euria barra-barra.

One of the first things that you must know about EVS is that you are in a family, and the family sometimes grows larger, for a small period. These periods are called on arrival training and mid term evaluation

The first one takes place in the beginning of the EVS experience and it is a training about all the aspects of EVS (AXA, Youthpass, conflict resolution…). For the participants it contains necessary information. It lasts one week and there are around 30 EVS volunteers.

Our on arrival training was in one of the most beautiful cities in Spain (after San Sebastian!): Bilbao!

1 week, 28 volunteers from the north of Spain, 4 of the best trainers, 1 of the most beautiful museums in the world and non-stop raining.

Our creative way to represent our project in Kaebnai.

28 boluntario galderaz beteta eta Europako Batzordeako Lehedakariordearekin, Jyrki Katainen, elkartzeko prest.

EUROPEAN VOLUNTEER REVOLUTION 2

EBZ-ko 9 bolondres Donostian (Kaebnai elkartean)

EBZ  Europako Boluntariotza Zerbitzua

Kultura berri bat ezagutzearekin interesaturik zaude?

Pertsona berriak ezagutu nahi dituzu?

Esperientzia berri baterako prest zaude?

EBZ da zure erantzuna.

Zer da EBZ? Europako Boluntariotza Zerbitzua bizitza aldatzen duen esperientzia bat da. Epe motzeko edo luzeko proiektua izan daiteke (2 hilabetetik 12 hilabetera), Europan zehar edo Europatik kanpo.

Nor izan daiteke EBZ-ko boluntario? Edozein gazte, 18 urtetik 30 urtera.

Zein ekintza egin ditzakezu EBZ-an? Gehien gustatzen zaizun proiektua aukeratu dezakezu, adibidez, artea eta kulturaren inguruan, ingurumena, gazteekin eta zaharrekin edo ezintasunak dituzten pertsonekin lan egin. EBZ konpetentzia eta aukera berriak ematen dituen ikaskuntzarako esperientzia ez-formala da.

Nola hartu dezakezu parte? Hemen aurkitu dezakezu informazio guztia.

Gure proiektuak “European Volunteer Revolution 2” izena du.

Aurreko EBZ-a jarraitzen duen proiektua da. 9 boluntario gara, Europako 9 herrialde ezberdinetakoak eta Kaebnai elkarteak hartu gaitu.

Hemen Kaebnai elkartearekin lanean dabiltzan elkarte ezberdinekin lan egingo dugu, adibidez:

  1. GOIENETXE: yoga, dantza eta teknologia berrien tailerrak ditugu.
  2. + 55: yoga, ingeles, argazki eta mugikorren erabilera tailerrak ditugu.
  3. CRAJ-ean gure herrialdetako musika, historia, aurkikuntzak, pelikulak… inguruko tailer kulturalak sortuko ditugu.
  4. Hizkuntza klaseak CRAJ-ean: Italiarra, Alemana, Frantsesa eta Ingelesa
  5. ARTE ATZEGI: arte tailerra
  6. DSS 2016: Europako Kultura Hiriburuari promozioa egiten lagunduko diogu.

Guretzako eta Kaebnai-rentzat erronka bat izango da!

EVS - European Voluntary Service

Are you interested in discovering new cultures?

Are you interested in meeting new people?

Are you ready for new experiences?

EVS is one of the answers.

What is EVS? It stands for European Voluntary Service and it is a life changing experience.

It can be a short or a long term project (from 2 to 12 months), mostly in Europe but even outside of Europe.

Who can be an EVS volunteer? Anyone from 18 to 30 years old.

What kind of activities can you do during EVS? You can choose the project that suits you, for example, regarding art and culture, environmental issues, working with youth or elderly people or activities with disabled people. EVS is a non formal learning experience that will give you new skills   and opportunities.

How you can participate in EVS project? You can find all the information here.

Our project is called “European Volunteer Revolution 2”.

It is a follow up project of a previous EVS. We are 9 people from 9 different countries of the EU, being hosted by the youth organization Kaebnai.

We will work in different associations that collaborate with Kaebnai, for example:

  1. GOIENETXE: giving workshops of yoga, dance and on new technologies
  2. + 55: giving workshops of yoga, english, photography and the use of mobile phones
  3. Creating cultural workshops in CRAJ about music, history, inventions, movies etc. of our countries.
  4. Language lessons in CRAJ: Italian, German, French and English
  5. ARTE ATZEGI: taking part in an art workshop
  6. Foundation DSS 2016: helping in the promotion of SS 2016

It will be a challenge for us and for Kaebnai!
